THREE GENERATIONS
The Sunshine Coast’s only Jewellers Association of Australia (JAA) Accredited Master Jeweller, Adrian Schulz is a trade qualified, third-generation, international award-winning designer, gem-setter, and jewellery manufacturer.
Establishing in the early 1990’s Diamonds of Distinction has remained an in-house, on-site manufacturing Jewellery workshop for thirty years. Since 2015, Diamonds of Distinction has been operated by current owner and managing director, Adrian.
The history of Diamonds of Distinction is far older than that though, with the tagline ‘Idar-Oberstein 1933’ being a reference to the year Adrian’s grandfather, Otto Schulz, began his apprenticeship in Idar-Oberstein, Germany’s famous gemstone cutting capitol. His son, Gerd, followed in his father’s footsteps and became a qualified Master Goldsmith, and later emigrated to Lightning Ridge, Australia in the early 1980’s. Adrian began his apprenticeship under his father in the early 90’s and spent thirty years honing his skills. Armed with a wealth of knowledge and experience, he brings his keen eye and expert craftsmanship to the bench.
